Saying goodbye to 2015

For me 2015 has been all about fitness.  In February I found the courage to take part in my first body combat class and it grew from there.  Now I do between 4-7 exercise classes a week and have never felt or looked better.  I have to admit over the last three weeks I haven’t tried as hard due to being away and Christmas but looking forward to getting back into it again in the new year.

Not only has fitness improved the classes help relieve any stress and are a great social activity.  In 2016 I want to focus more on eating the correct things, I do take great care in eating healthy but I do love my biscuits and chocolates!  I also want to introduce more weights into my workouts and replace one or two of my classes with weight training in the gym.  I follow some fantastic personal trainers on Instagram such as Clean Eating Alice who inspires me daily and spurs me on to achieve my goals.

One of the most common things we are all guilty of is to compare ourselves to other people.  Whether that may be their looks, job, clothes, house or general lifestyle we always want better and I am guilty of this.  I want to refer to the below ’12 daily reminders’ throughout 2016 to ensure I make the most out of the year and create memories which will last and I can look back on and smile.  We need to reminder there is no rule book to how we must live our lives, everyone develops at different times we all must take our time, learn from our mistakes and everything does happen for a reason.

I recently purchased a five year journal which involves answering a different question every day to document what I am doing throughout the year.  I love little things like this and who knows where I will be in five years….The thought of being 30 scares me!!!

In October 2015 I was made redundant from my job so I know 2016 will definitely involve a new career…at the moment I really have no clue what this may be but I know I want to combine my love of the media and journalism degree to make sure it is something that I enjoy and can progress in.

I will continue to save to work towards my goal of owning my own house, the housing market is very tough but I am determined to get on the property ladder.  I really do enjoy saving my money each month and find it very rewarding….I need to make sure I am more organised and only purchasing things I really need but also to understand it is ok to treat yourself.

I have made a promise to myself to grow my blog and also start vblogging which I am really excited about!  Inspired by other bloggers I hope to document the changes in my life and have some fun while hopefully creating a little community!
