Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I live in Northampton! I graduated from University in 2011 with a BA Journalism degree and have previously completed work experience at my local paper The Chronicle and Echo, OK! Magazine, Channel 4 and Inspiration FM. Since University I have been a production runner on Dickinson’s real Deal and Britain’s Got Talent which were fantastic opportunities. These were such brilliant experiences but crafting a career in the media industry was pretty hard and due to getting older I realised I needed more of a stable job so I could start saving for my future so I made the decision to put my media career on hold for the time being and explore other avenues.
In 2013 I set up my own cake pop company called The Classic Cake Pop Factory which is going from strength to strength and my friends always enjoy trying out new flavours and designs!
As well as running my own company on the side I explored new opportunities which led me to various customer service roles and in 2015 I was made redundant from my role as an offer analyst which was a whole new challenge! I have recently enjoyed 6 months of redundancy leave and decided to start my own youtube channel where I recently hit over 600 subscribers and 100k views! With going back to work full-time it’s been tricky juggling everything but it just makes me more determined to grow my channel 🙂
I write my blog to express my creativity by sharing things I love, things that make me laugh, smile or just take my fancy. I also have a huge passion for events, fitness and healthy living and hope to share my tips with you all!
